Repentance of Sin
In this day and age as everyone tries to live their life in a sinful world, they fall into deceit from people that will try to harm them. Then when something bad happens in their lives they seem to all of a sudden come to God asking for help and they give their life to Him. When a person repents of their sins and gives their life to Christ it will cause them to have a better life in Him.
Healing will come upon your life when you start to live according to the commandments of God as it is stated in Exodus 15:26 "If you will listen carefully to the LORD your God and do what he considers right, if you pay attention to his commands and obey all his laws." God is a merciful God, that He has said Himself that He will forgive us of all our sins. There are three types of healing that you will receive from God, which are physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Psalm 103:3 “He is the one who forgives all your sins, the one who heals all your diseases”. The word “diseases” in this verse is translated as “sicknesses”, the thought here is that God has the power of healing all forms of diseases. But what happens when we live God's way? He brings emotional and spiritual healing into our lives, Galatians 5:22 “But the spiritual nature produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control”. Joy and peace are part of the normal state of a Christian’s life, which gives us our emotional and spiritual healing that we receive from God when we have that special relationship with Him.
Romans 8:16 says, “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children” also Galatians 3:26 “By faith in Christ you are in direct relationship with God.” We become sons of God when we are born again, born of water and the Spirit and we maintain the son ship by being led by the Spirit. In John 3:5 Jesus told Nicodemus, "I can guarantee this truth: No one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.” When we become children of God we have a special relationship with Him. Just as any parent, God wants us to talk (pray) with Him and read His word, which is the bible and to live a good life, and by doing this, we get closer with Him. It’s just like when we look for affection with our parents we need to do the same thing with God. God will always be there for us when we need to call upon Him. Hebrews 13:5 says, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” How many times do we see dads leaving their children and never coming back? God will never in our life do that, but on the other hand we are the ones that leave Him and stop having that relationship with Him.
Jesus tells us in John 11:25-26 “I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.” Christ states that he is the resurrection and the life, words that never can be said by any man, but only from God. He has the power to raise the dead and gives life to the dead physically and spiritually, and calls them to a new life in Him. When Jesus rose from the dead, he did it for all humanity and in Him we have won the victory over death. 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” The old life ended when we were crucified with Christ, we have died with Christ, buried into his death, and risen to walk in a new life.
By repenting of our sins and giving our lives over to Christ, He gives us the promises that are written in His Word. As believers in Christ, we should live a holy life that reflects the nature of God, who gave us a way to be saved from hell (eternal damnation). As children of the most high, we should look forward to receiving healing, having a close relationship with Him, and having an eternal life with God in heaven. Out of these three the most important thing that we should seek after is the relationship with God and the rest will follow. I pray that all should come to know the truth of God’s word and come to know him the way that many have already done.
Shalom,
